Video surveillance of the Gomel State Forestry Production Association
1. This Video Surveillance Policy of the Gomel State Forestry Industrial Association (hereinafter referred to as the Gomel State Forestry Industrial Association) has been developed to:
explain to personal data subjects the purposes of processing their images captured by the Gomel State Forestry Industrial Association's video surveillance camera(s), and reflects the rights available to personal data subjects in this regard and the mechanism for exercising them;
monitor the general situation at the Gomel State Forestry Industrial Association and record possible illegal actions, including at night and on non-working days;
take timely measures to resolve conflict situations and establish additional guarantees for the observance of the rights of employees and visitors to the Gomel State Forestry Industrial Association;
strengthen public and fire safety measures; preventing damage to the health and property of employees of the Gomel State Forestry and Industrial Association;
preventing or minimizing material damage and losses to the Gomel State Forestry and Industrial Association;
providing video images upon request from government agencies or organizations entitled to do so under legislation.
2. Video surveillance at the Gomel State Forestry and Industrial Association:
is carried out in accordance with paragraph 20 of Article 6 and clause 1 of Article 17 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated May 7, 2021, No. 99-Z "On the Protection of Personal Data" (hereinafter referred to as the Law);
is conducted around the clock and continuously using open-air video surveillance cameras;
is not used for: recording the actual working hours of employees of the Gomel State Forestry and Industrial Association; unique identification of persons depicted in the video recording; Audio recordings.
3. CCTV cameras will be installed at entry points/areas to the Gomel State Forestry and Industrial Association's territory from external areas, as well as in the lobby of the first floor of the administrative building and Reception Room 2-1. In this Policy, the Gomel State Forestry and Industrial Association's territory refers to:
the building located at 24 Telmana Street, Gomel.
Video surveillance will not be conducted in the premises of the building specified in this clause intended for the personal needs of employees and for accommodating employee workstations (with the exception of Reception Room 2-1).
4. Video recordings are stored for no more than 30 days from the date of recording, after which they are automatically deleted.
If information is received regarding possible CCTV footage of a situation that bears the hallmarks of a disciplinary offense, administrative violation, or criminal offense, the storage period for such video recordings may be extended for the duration of the relevant events, upon the instruction of the General Director of the Gomel State Forestry and Industrial Association (or the person acting in his/her capacity).
5. Video recordings may not be used by employees for personal or other purposes not related to the performance of their official duties, and are not subject to modification, distribution, or provision, except in cases stipulated by law.
6. The personal data subject has the right to exercise the rights related to the processing of personal data at the Gomel State Forestry and Industrial Association, as provided for in Articles 11 and 12 of the Law.
7. To exercise their rights related to the processing of personal data at the Gomel State Forestry and Industrial Association, the data subject must submit a written application to the General Director of the Gomel State Forestry and Industrial Association, either in person or by mail. Such an application must comply with the requirements of Article 14 of the Law.
Since the Gomel State Forestry and Industrial Association does not use video surveillance to uniquely identify individuals depicted in video recordings, the data subject's request must include the date and time period when the data subject's image was recorded. The time period is determined within an hourly interval.
The Gomel State Forestry and Industrial Association has the right to additionally request from the data subject the information necessary to exercise their rights.
8. The Gomel State Public Health Organization does not consider applications from personal data subjects that do not meet the requirements of Section 7 of the Policy, including those submitted by other means (email, telephone, fax, etc.).
